• Goalkeeping
EPAC will select:
• 10 Attacking Players
• 10 Defending Players
• 5 Goalkeepers
This creates a total academy environment of 25 players per training group, with players primarily working within their specialist positional unit of 8 throughout the session before combining into integrated opposed practices during the final 15 minutes, allowing for:
• High coaching detail
• Competitive intensity
• Appropriate player to coach ratios
• Individualised feedback and development
Selection into the academy is intentionally
limited to maintain the quality and standards of the environment.
EPAC FC Selection Opportunity
Players who consistently perform at a high level within the academy may be selected to represent EPAC FC in fixtures, tournaments and showcase events across the NorCal region and overseas on our annual EPAC UK Tour Programme.
Selection for EPAC FC is performance based and reserved for players who consistently demonstrate:
• High training standards
• Competitive mentality
• Tactical understanding
• Professional attitude and commitment
Squads will be selected based on competition format:
• 12 Player Squad — 7v7

EPAC will implement a monitored game time system designed to balance:
• Player development
• Competitive integrity
• Squad contribution
• Match realism and standards
PlayerData Performance Tracking
EPAC Academy players will train using professional level GPS performance tracking pods powered by PLAYERDATA technology, allowing coaches to objectively monitor and analyse each player’s physical output during training and competition.
The system tracks key performance metrics such as:
• Total distance covered
• Sprint distance and top speed
• Accelerations and decelerations
• Work rate and overall workload
This data allows EPAC coaches to:
• Monitor player development over time
• Benchmark physical performance standards
• Deliver more individualised feedback
• Create a more professional academy environment aligned with elite level
football standards
Players and parents will gain greater insight
into both performance and progression throughout the programme.
